In many cases, you can check the SIM lock status of your device yourself.

Devices released on or after October 1, 2021 are generally sold without a SIM lock.
However, there may be exceptions depending on the release date or retailer, so we recommend checking your device status just in case.
For iPhone
Open the Settings app and go to "General" → "About."
Check the "Carrier Lock" section.
- If "No SIM restrictions" is displayed
→ Your iPhone is not SIM-locked. - If a different message is displayed
→ Your iPhone may be SIM-locked.

The displayed items and steps may vary slightly depending on your iPhone model and iOS version.
For Android
The way to check the SIM lock status varies depending on the device model and manufacturer.
In general, you may be able to check it by opening the Settings app and looking under sections such as "About phone" or "Status."
Look for information related to the SIM or network status and check whether there is any indication that the device is locked.
If you are unable to find this information, we recommend contacting the device manufacturer or the retailer where you purchased the device.

The displayed items and steps may vary depending on your device model and Android version.
Checking with the retailer or mobile carrier
You may also be able to confirm the SIM lock status by contacting the mobile carrier or retailer where you purchased the device.
In some cases, this information may also be available through your carrier's online account page.
If your device is SIM-locked
If your device is SIM-locked, you may need to complete a SIM unlock procedure.
Please refer to the instructions provided by the mobile carrier from which you purchased the device for details about the requirements and procedure.
Please note that only the mobile carrier that sold the device can provide information about whether the device can be unlocked and how to complete the procedure.
Our eSIM Customer Support Center cannot provide assistance regarding SIM unlock eligibility or procedures.
