You can check whether your eSIM has been installed by viewing the list of SIMs or mobile lines registered on your device.
The screen layout and steps may vary depending on your device, but the basic way to check is the same.
What to check first
You can determine whether the eSIM has been installed by checking the list of mobile lines registered on your device.
If you see another mobile line in addition to the one you normally use in Japan, the eSIM has most likely been installed successfully.
How to check on an iPhone
On an iPhone, open Settings and go to Cellular or Mobile Data to view the list of SIMs or mobile lines.
If multiple lines are displayed, the eSIM has been added.
Your device may automatically assign a label to the eSIM, so it may appear under an unfamiliar name such as "Travel," "Work," or "Personal."
How to check on an Android device
On an Android device, open Settings and go to the section related to Network or SIM settings to view the list of SIMs.
If multiple lines are displayed, the eSIM has been installed.
Menu names and screen layouts vary depending on the device and OS version, so look for settings such as "SIMs" or "SIM Manager."
It is okay if the displayed name is different
Your device may automatically assign a name to the eSIM.
Even if the displayed name is different from the name shown when you purchased the eSIM, this will not affect its use.
If the name is difficult to identify, you can rename the eSIM to make it easier to manage.
If you cannot find the eSIM
If only the mobile line you normally use is displayed in the SIM list, the eSIM installation may not have been completed.
In this case, please refer to the eSIM installation instructions below.
Please note that the screens and menu names may differ significantly depending on your device and settings.
