If you purchased an eSIM that cannot be used in your current country or region, this is not a problem.
Activation may not proceed until you arrive in a country or region where the eSIM can be used.
If you are setting up the eSIM before arriving at your destination, turn the eSIM off for now and turn it back on after you arrive.
If the eSIM cannot be used in your current country or region
An eSIM for overseas use may not activate until you arrive in a supported country or region.
Therefore, if the status remains “Activating” while you are still outside the service area, this is normal.
What to do after you arrive
Turn the eSIM off for now.
After you arrive in a country or region where the eSIM can be used, turn it back on. Activation should then proceed.
